If you are diabetic and your diabetic doctor writes a prescription for your diabetic shoes, they are usually covered by Medicare and/or your insurance. Since Medicare and insurance pay from different fee schedules and their coverage criteria varies, we will need your specific Medicare/insurance info so we can tell you exactly what you can expect when we bill for you.
Medicare usually pays for one (1) pair of diabetic shoes per calendar year. Traditional Medicare usually pays 80% of their allowable after you have met your yearly deductible, we accept assignment, and you or your supplemental insurance is responsilbe for the 20%.
